If you are planning to fly to the Cocoa Beach area, there are two major airports nearby:

ORLANDO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

Approximately 45 minutes from Cocoa Beach, the Orlando International Airport is a major air-travel hub and is the fourth largest origin and destination airport in the U.S. The airport is served by dozens of international and domestic airlines, including American Airlines, Continental, Delta, Southwest, United and Virgin Atlantic.  The airport is nine miles southeast of downtown Orlando, at the junction of State Road 436 (Semoran Boulevard) and SR 528, (Beachline Expressway).

MELBOURNE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

Melbourne International Airport is currently served by two commercial airlines. Legacy carriers Delta Air Lines and US Airways offer daily, nonstop flights to their respective hubs in Atlanta and Charlotte and one-stop service to just about anywhere in the world.  They are joined by Baer Air which provides scheduled service to the Bahamas and charter service throughout the contiguous United States.

SPACE COAST AREA TRANSIT provides public transportation in Brevard County through fixed-route bus systems, transportation for the disabled or disadvantaged, vanpool programs and commuter assistance. The routes include stops at major shopping centers, government centers, social services agencies, colleges, universities and hospitals. Weekend and evening service also is available in some areas. All buses have wheelchair lifts.  A bus route runs through Cocoa Beach and welcomes surfboards and bikes. The system’s north terminal is at 401 S. Varr Ave., Cocoa. The south terminal is at 460 S.
