Calema Windsurfing hosts the USA Junior Olympic Windsurfing Festival, part of a national tour of Sailing events designed to introduce kids to the Olympic Sailing Sports. It’s a great day for the whole family to come out and enjoy the beautiful weather, bring a picnic, splash around and get wet and watch the colorful sails as they “Go for the Gold!”

There is a FREE “Taste of Windsurfing” mini-lesson offered for kids ages 8-17, and a FREE “Build a Mini-Boat” activity for kids of all ages where kids get to build their own boat and race it down rain gutters propelled only by the wind.

Racing will be available to those children that already windsurf, or have just learned in one of Calema’s summer camps. Kids are divided into age groups and skill level and can compete for Gold, Silver and Bronze JO medals. Calema supplies the gear for all novice racers. $25 entrance fee applies.
